Content is the Intellectual Property (IP) that your organization develops, creates and accumulates over time. For the typical organization this IP is scattered through-out the enterprise, on employee laptops, in employee memories and perhaps on a central files server.
Content Harvesting
The first step in productizing your services to to harvest your existing IP. This process consists of the following:
- Locate, collect, review and categorize your existing IP
- Identify the best IP in your organization from the collection process
- Define IP meta-tags to categorize the selected IP
- Assign meta-tags to selected IP
- Deposit the selected and tagged IP into the IP Bank
- Group IP into packages so it can be pre-positioned for project starts
Content Usage
The next step in the process is to enable the IP to be used by your consultants. Typically organizations group their IP into packages/blueprints/templates to enable easy pre-positioning at the start of a project.
Content Improvement
Ascendive enables you to withdraw the Content (your IP), use it, improve it and then deposit it back into the IP Bank. Throughout the course of the project, or perhaps at the end, you can review the content that is deposited back into the IP Bank for improvements. Upon finding improvements to your existing IP, you can associate that updated IP with your methodology's templates or bleuprints. This closed-loop cycle ensures that your IP is continually improving and that the best of your IP is being deployed and leveraged for future projects and engagements.
Content Examples
Examples of your IP that would become Ascendive Content are:
