Content: Content is the IP that your organization compiles over time, like training material, test scripts, interview questions, etc. |
IP Bank: The IP Bank is Ascendive’s central repository that stores your IP, enables powerful searching and works with Methods. |
Methods: Methods are your best consulting practices encapsulated into workflows that determine how your consultants and clients interact with the content. |
Example One: You have a set of discovery questions (Content) stored (in the IP Bank) for use. Your best practice could be one-on-one interviews (a Method to schedule and execute the interview), e-mail out a survey (a Method that initiates the e-mail survey and processes the response), or a workshop (a Method that books a room and invites participants). Example Two: You are implementing some application functionality for the first time. You and your client write a set of Test Scripts (Content) and save them (in the IP Bank). When testing starts, you workflow (Method) the test scripts to team participants who execute them. When you are completed, you will have a complete set of test scripts stored in your IP Bank ready to be reused the next time you implement that module. |
